This large-format bus back advert was created to support Gloucestershire County Council’s fostering recruitment campaign, delivering a clear, emotive message in a fast-moving public environment. Designed to be seen at distance and speed, the artwork needed to balance warmth, clarity and immediacy, while speaking directly to potential foster carers within the county. Typography and layout were carefully considered to maintain legibility, while the call to action was designed to be instantly recognisable and easy to act upon.
The final artwork demonstrates how effective design and promotion work together in public space, shaping a message that feels human, positive and locally relevant. It’s an example of audience-first communication — using clarity, tone and context to ensure an important message lands with the people it’s intended for.
