Live Wire Ensemble

Live Wire Ensemble is a new community music ensemble in Penarth, bringing orchestral instruments, electronic sound and iconic music together in bold new arrangements. The ambition was to create an identity that felt a world away from the conventions of traditional community music, capturing instead the energy, colour and atmosphere of contemporary live performance.

Candid developed the brand from the ground up, creating a distinctive visual identity centred around a bold, dimensional logo, vibrant colour palette and playful graphic language inspired by equaliser displays, festival graphics and live music culture. The resulting identity is energetic and instantly recognisable, while remaining welcoming and accessible to musicians from all backgrounds.

The brand was carried through into a new website, designed to introduce the ensemble, communicate its sound and make it easy for prospective members to get involved. Strong typography, vivid colour, performance photography and energetic compositions give the site its own rhythm, with a flexible visual system that can grow alongside the ensemble.

Candid also developed launch and social media assets, establishing a consistent approach for recruitment, events and future performances. From the website through to individual campaign graphics, the result is a cohesive identity that gives a brand-new ensemble the confidence and presence of an established live act.
