Following the development of the visual identity for Love What You’ve Done With The Place, I was commissioned to design and build the podcast’s website. The challenge was to translate a bold, personality-led brand into a digital experience that could support the show’s launch, showcase episodes, and provide a platform for future growth.

While the podcast artwork needed to work at thumbnail size amongst hundreds of competing shows, the website offered an opportunity to expand the world of the brand. The visual language established through the identity project formed the foundation, with the rich tonal backgrounds, distinctive lime accents and editorial-inspired typography carrying through into the digital experience. The aim was to create a website that felt every bit as confident and recognisable as the podcast cover artwork itself.

The site was designed around content discovery and storytelling. Rather than presenting episodes as a simple chronological list, the structure gives each conversation room to breathe, allowing guests, themes and stories to become part of the overall experience. The layout balances personality with clarity, ensuring visitors can quickly find the latest episodes while also encouraging deeper exploration of the podcast archive.

As with many modern podcast websites, flexibility was an important consideration from the outset. The website needed to accommodate future episode releases, guest features, newsletters, social content and potential partnerships without requiring significant redevelopment. A scalable content management system and carefully considered page templates ensure the website can evolve alongside the podcast as the audience grows.

The result is a digital home that feels entirely aligned with the brand identity. It captures the warmth, humour and curiosity that sit at the heart of the podcast, while providing a professional platform capable of supporting the show for years to come. Together, the identity and website create a cohesive brand experience that allows listeners to engage with Love What You’ve Done With The Place wherever they encounter it.

From cover artwork to digital experience

Building on the visual identity created for the podcast, the website extends the brand into a fully realised digital experience. Every design decision was guided by the same principles that shaped the artwork: personality, warmth, clarity and a sense of home. The result is a cohesive brand ecosystem that feels instantly recognisable across podcast platforms, social media and the web.
