
Penarth Operatic & Dramatic Society produces a wide and ambitious programme of work each year, spanning classic plays, contemporary drama, musicals, youth productions and pantomime. With audiences ranging from families and young people to long-standing theatre-goers, the challenge is to promote each production with its own character while maintaining a recognisable and trusted presence.
Candid Creative Studio has designed a broad range of posters, banners and marketing graphics for the amateur dramatic group across multiple seasons, creating artwork that reflects the tone, genre and audience of each production. This has included comedies, dramas, large-scale musicals, open-air performances and pantomime, each requiring a distinct visual approach while remaining clear, legible and effective across print, digital and on-site display.
Recent productions supported through this work include ’Allo ’Allo 2 – The Camembert Caper, The Ghost Train and Aladdin and His Magic Lamp in 2025; Bugsy Malone, Under Milk Wood and Shakespeare in Love in 2024; The Producers, Steel Magnolias, The Full Monty, Puss in Boots, Chess and Treasure Island in 2023; and The Snow Queen and The Good Life in 2022. Taken together, the work demonstrates a consistent, audience-led approach to promotion — helping each production stand out, communicate clearly and connect with the community it’s created for.
